Mengerikan... Wahana Tornado di DUFAN mengalami kemacetan

Jakarta, 21 Juli 2011 - Pasti masyarakat Jakarta pernah pergi ke Dunia Fantasi Ancol dan menikmati berbagai wahana yang dapat membangkitkan adrenalin dan mengocok perut hingga terasa ingin mengeluarkan yang sudah kita makan sebelumnya. Tetapi, pernahkah membayangkan, ketika sedang menikmati salah satu wahana, tiba-tiba wahana tersebut macet/bermasalah/berhenti ketika sedang berada di ketinggian tertentu ? Nah inilah yang sempat terjadi di salah satu wahana di Dunia Fantasi kemarin tanggal 20 Juli 2011. 


Wahana Tornado, yang permainannya mengandalkan ketinggian untuk memacu adrenalin, tiba-tiba saja macet di ketinggian 4 meter. Hal ini sontak membuat orang yang sedang menaiki wahana tersebut terpacu adrenalinnya 2 kali lipat bahkan 5 kali lipat dari biasanya. Bagaimana tidak ? pada ketinggian 4 meter tersebut, tidak ada bantuan untuk dapat turun ke bawah. Memang pada akhirnya bantuan pun datang.

Akibatnya, sejumlah pengunjung yang sedang menaiki wahana permainan tersebut panik. Pengunjung akhirnya dievakuasi menggunakan tangga.

Menurut Kapolsek Pademangan Kompol Ahmad David kejadian tersebut terjadi sekira pukul 18.00 WIB. “Masalahnya mesin macet, sesuai prosedur pengamanan dilakukan evakuasi secara mekanis dan manual, tetapi yang dipilih akhirnya secara manual dengan menggunakan tangga,” kata Ahmad kepada okezone, Rabu (20/7/2011) malam.

Dikatakannya, jumlah penumpang sekitar 15 orang. “Mereka diturunkan dari ketinggian empat meter, mereka panik, tapi untungnya tak ada korban jiwa. Semua penumpang menggunakan alat pengamannya. Dan pengaman tersebut berfungsi dengan baik,” katanya.

Ahmad menuturkan saat ini sedang meneliti penyebab kerusakan tersebut. Sejauh ini belum ditemukan indikasi kesengajaan atau akibat kesalahan manusia. 

Insiden tersebut juga sempat tersebar luas melalui mikroblogging Twitter. "Ini gila Tornado Dufan macet jadi diselamatkan pakai tangga," ujar seorang pengguna Twitter yang berada di lokasi kejadian. 

Sex, Power, and Very Strange Habits

But brave Bear, stumbling across a seal that just happens to have died nearby, slits the mammal in half and proceeds to wear it as a wetsuit. He has outwitted the Grim Reaper yet again!

This is not his first such display of ingenuity. He has used a sheep's carcass as a sleeping bag, and crawled inside a dead camel for shelter in the past. It is quite the party trick. But were you ever stuck on a desert island with Bear, you would have to sleep with one eye open to make sure he didn't kill you and wear you as a frock.

Yet, despite his undoubted survival skills, I worry about Bear Grylls. I worry about him in a way that I don't about, say, Ray Mears, because I think Ray Mears couldn't give a camel's carcass about being an alpha male. But Bear seems so obsessed with proving his toughness, that he only ends up emasculating himself.

When I watch his desperate battles for survival in some of the least hospitable terrain on the planet, I don't think 'What an amazingly brave man'. I just think: 'WHY?'

I fret that Bear might one day fall victim to the Boy Who Cried Wolf Syndrome. He'll be in real danger, and the crew will just think he's doing his usual macho posturing, and off they will go, thinking 'you've made your bed in a sheep's skin - now you must lie in it'.

Nah. I'd rather take an under-achieving beta boy or a grateful gamma guy over an alpha male any day.

Do you know that Windows Phone 7 is not fit for tablet ?

One Microsoft executive said Windows Phone 7 (WP7) is an operating system (OS) specifically for smartphones and is not designed for tablets.

Speaking at the event Microsoft Worldwide Partners Conference, division president forthe Windows Phone Andy Lees believes that consumers want to do everything on a PCon a tablet.

"And we see as a tablet PC," he said as quoted from TG Daily, Thursday (07/14/2011).

Thus he said, running WP7 on tablets can cause 'conflict' with the preferences of consumers as well as Microsoft's mobile strategy. According to Lees, Windows 8 - which supports the ARM and x86 - expected to encourage the adoption of Microsoft'stablet in the near future.

Lees also said that PCs, tablets and mobile phones will eventually be together in an 'integrated ecosystem', as it echoed Steve Ballmer believes that Windows will be present in every device everywhere without compromise.

Although the future of WP7 is still unclear, some analysts speculated that the evolution ofthe OS will be gradually eliminated and replaced by a versatile Windows 8.

While other analysts from Gartner and IDC believes, WP7 combination with the Nokia device is very potential to be number two mobile platforms in the mobile market share in 2015.

Problem on Mail server --- Mail server could not connect to the internet

This morning around 10, suddenly the office email server is inaccessible from the outside. Staff who are outside can notconnect to webmail office. I initially thought because the traffic is being filled, so that all unused bandwidth resulting in slow access to webmail.

But after I checked, ping mailserver from outside, but the resultRTO. Then I try to check ping to the router from the mail server, the results are good. Then I try to ping from the router to the internet,were normal. Wow why this happened.

So I continued an intense checks on the mail server machine.Starting from checking MTA postfix, antivirus, configuration and allwere normal. Quite confusing too ... When I try to restart it with theNIC:
command: # / etc / init.d / networking restart all the results returned to normal.

Strange indeed ... because the machine is no problem to ping to anywhere except the internet. Grateful now back to normal.

Playbook from Blackberry is ready to compete

Manufacturers of the world's leading gadget, the Blackberry, has released the newest product named playbook. Playbook tablet is expected to rival the gadgets that have been out on the market.

Targets for the executives felt would be able to attract attention, let alone supported premises pretty good specs, can be a destination for the upper class to have these gadgets.

From the software side, the Playbook will use the BlackBerry Tablet OS operating system based on micro-kernel architecture of QNX Neutrino. Neutrinos have been widely used in medical devices, automotive to Internet routers.

Playbook Software supports Flash 10.1, WebKit and HTML 5, OpenGL (for 3D graphics as in games), Adobe Mobile AIR, Adobe Reader, Java, POSIX and BlackBerry WebWorks.
